I am offering a free pattern that is downloadable as a zip file of the original 1912 Irish Opera Bag pattern.  

This is the pattern I used to make all of my bags. I just added a few modern ideas like adding color
and making the bag bigger and adding a satin lining to best suit modern times. 
  
The zipped file has the cover and two instruction pages.

I find this pattern lacking for it does not give instructions on how to trim the top of the bag and 
other missing instructions.  So I am rewriting it with hopefully better understanding on how to make 
this bag without all the frustration this original pattern gives.

I, and my crocheting friends, find most vintage patterns hard to follow as the words they use
can be difficult to understand.  So I am editing this pattern with modern crochet words.
I have a lot of it rewrote but not done. I am a busy person so it stays undone.  But I do
aim to get it written and posted on my website but it won't be free due to all the work
it took for the rewrite.  I will be charging $7.00 for it.
